New Noida to be build in land of 80 villages in NCR, UP government gives approval

Noida: The Uttar Pradesh government made an important announcement on Friday where it shared informed about an approved Master Plan 2041 for building a New Noida on the land of 80 villages in Bulandshahar and Dadri. However, the decision regarding the process of land acquisition has not been made. The layout of the city will be made once the land acquisition work is done.

On papers the New Noida has been named as Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR). The Noida Authority sent the master plan to the government on January 2024 for approval. Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi saw its presentation two weeks ago. There were 19 objections to this plan which were settled. According to the plan, the New Noida will be inhabited in 209.11 square kilometres which is 20 thousand 911.29 hectares. For this the land of 80 villages will be acquired.

Will complete in four phases

Satish Pal, Assistant CEO, Noida Authority stated, “Master Plan was sent to the government for approval on January 12, 2024 which has been approved today. The plan will be accomplished in four phases. By the year 2027, 3165 hectares of land will be developed. Between 2027 and 2032, 3798 hectare area will be developed.”

Authority’s CEO Dr. Lokesh M said, “The proposal related to the approval of the master plan will be placed in the board meeting. Other work related to land acquisition will require more officers and staff. We will talk about this with the government. An office will also be opened in New Noida area.”

Expected population to be around six lakh

The New Noida is supposed to be made in 209 square kilometres. The DNGIR Master Plan 2041 provides 40 per cent land for commercial use, 13 per cent for residential and 18 per cent for green area and recreational activity. The DNGIR has been made from 20 villages of Gautambuddh Nagar and 60 villages of Bulandshahar. The new city is expected to have a population of six lakh.
