Administration asked the builders to stop illegal construction

On receiving a complaint in this regard, the administration asked the builders to stop illegal construction in the mosque, but even after this, when the construction continued unabated, the administration demolished it in the presence of heavy police force. According to the Laksar Tehsildar, Pratap Singh Chauhan, “Illegal construction was being done on vacant public land, which has been removed.”

Illegal construction on Railway land earlier

Illegal construction had previously taken place on railway land. Jot Singh Pundir, President of the Laksar unit of Hindu Jagran Manch, stated that a few years ago, a community had built illegally on railway land, which was subsequently removed by High Court order. He alleged that after the removal, they began constructing illegally in the Laksar locality.

Locals opposed to the mosque’s demolition

Tehsildar Pratap Singh Chauhan mentioned that local residents opposed the demolition, but the administration proceeded with the demolition of the illegal construction under heavy police presence. The Tehsildar added that the construction party has been instructed to present their permission documents before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
