The High Court, while hearing a batch of pleas seeking a court-monitored investigation into the case as well as an investigation into the conduct of the hospital authorities, including the role of then RG Kar Medical College and Hospital principal Sandip Ghosh and other officials by a special team of investigating officers, transferred the probe from the Kolkata Police to the CBI.
