Kolkata: In an incident which has baffled everyone, a woman married her nephew-in-law with her husband as a witness. The incident in Bihar and its video has become viral on social media. It shows the woman marrying her nephew in front of her husband and other family members.

The incident took place in Jamui district’s Sikheria village on June 20 and the woman is Ayushi Kumari. She married Vishal Dubey in the same village in 2021, and the couple has a three-year-old daughter. But secretly, Ayushi has been in a relationship with Sachin Dubey, a relative from the village who is her nephew-in-law, according to a report by the Free Press Journal. Thanks to social media, the secret relationship blossomed into a clandestine affair.

The divorce and controversial marriage

On June 15, Ayushi reportedly eloped with Sachin and it brought the matter to light. Her husband, Vishal, filed a missing person complaint at Sadar Police Station. Later, Ayushi filed for divorce in the Jamui court. Also, much to the surprise of everyone, she even refused to take custody of her daughter.

In the end, Ayushi and Sachin got married with the consent of both families at a local temple. Sachin reportedly said, “We have been in love for two years. Now our relationship has a name. I will keep Ayushi happy forever.” Vishal, who is now her former husband, said, “If this is what makes her happy, I won’t stop her. But the accusations she made against me are false. She used to misbehave with my mother and daughter. From now on, she is Sachin’s responsibility.”

Recently, in Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli, a husband quietly handed over his wife to her boyfriend after 10 days of marriage. He reportedly said, “Neither I want to become Raja Raghuvanshi nor Saurabh Rajput.”

The said incident took place in the Saidpura village of Mughalsarai Kotwali area. Shamsher, a resident of the village, married Khushi, a young woman from Mawai Khurd on June 4. After the wedding, when the guests left the house, the newlywed bride expressed her desire to leave her husband. Later, her husband gave in to her demand.
