‘We will be more determined to fight…’: Israel envoy Reuven Azar on Pahalgam terror attack

New Delhi: Ambassador of Israel to India Reuven Azar condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, while expressing . He said, “…These criminals always find new ways to intimidate us. I am sure they will continue to do that and I am also sure that we will be more determined to fight them…I am sure the Indian government knows how to work…We try to cooperate on a broader basis in order to deal with threats generally and how to improve the means to fight — whether it is intelligence-wise, technology-wise, metholodogy etc.”

“I am sure the Indian government and the authorities here have a much better intelligence in the trans-border area and how to deal with this issue. We are going to concentrate on cooperation when it comes to methodology, technology, intelligence and this is a very important work that we will continue doing,” Azar said while speaking to ANI.

As many as 26 people were killed in a terror attack in in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon. The 26 dead included two foreigners and two locals. It is the deadliest attack in the Valley since the Pulwama strike in 2019.

Earlier, taking to X, Azar wrote: “Sad and appalled following the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir which took the lives of innocent civilians. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and our support is for the security forces in their struggle against terror.”
