Uttarakhand police continue to work on the CCOE project

Following the cyberattack incident, Uttarakhand police have been continuously working on the CCOE project keeping in mind the challenges emerging from such incidents in future.

At the CCOE, experts from the field of IT and C-desk level institutions will be invited to give training to police and other departments. As per the plan, every department will have a cyber security officer. The cyber security officers will try to save the data in case of a cyberattack.

Required facilities will be available at the CCOE

The facilities which will be made available in the CCOE, include State of the Art Forensic Laboratory, Advance Cyber Training Lab, Database Centre and Research and Development Wing.

In the state-of-the-Art Forensic Lab, all digital equipment will be checked. Till now, police are supposed to go to Chandigarh or Delhi for the checking of any equipment. The Advanced Forensic Training Lab will serve the purpose of giving training to the police personnel. The country’s top cyber experts will be consulted for the training.

Apart from the state, the police department has its own database. So, there is a need for a Database centre. The Research and Development Wing will be a platform for the research. Cyber experts from the engineering colleges and different institutes from across the country may come to do research on the ways to put a check on cyberattack.
