New Delhi: The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has started the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students under the PM-USP Central Sector Scheme application process. Eligible candidates need to apply for the PM USP Scholarship 2024 and also fill out the renewal form by October 31. This scholarship is run by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Detailed information about the scholarship scheme is available on the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.
Those students who have scored the below marks in the exam conducted in March 2024 are eligible to apply for fresh scholarships-
- General category candidates- 401 marks
- Scheduled Caste (SC) category candidates- 390 marks
- Scheduled Caste (ST) category candidates- 392 marks
- Other Backward Caste (OBC) category candidates- 399 marks

Who can apply for renewal?
In addition to new applications for the applications, those students who have received scholarships in previous academic sessions are required to apply for renewal of the scholarship. Students who are in their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of college and were awarded scholarships in the years 2023, 2022, and 2021, respectively must apply for the renewal.
The PM USP Scholarship 2024 provides financial support to deserving students, to aid to continue higher education. All eligible students are advised to fill out the application form by the last date.
