Know about Karni Mata Temple
The Karni Mata temple has its own historical and religious significance. There are many things that make it different from other temples. There are a large number of rats inside the temple, believed to be descendants of the goddess.
Speaking to TV9 Network, one of the devotees said, “These rats do not bite devotees who come to this temple. They are always engaged in the service of God.” Talking about significance he added, “The youngest child of Karni Mata drowned while taking a bath there. After this, his wife came to Karni Mata and urged her to bring her son back to life just like she did to others.”
“After this, the goddess entered a cave inside the temple and went to meet Dharmaraj. During the discussion, Dharmaraj told hat that this was impossible since it had never happened before. Following this Karna Mata said she would bring her back to life.
Another devotee added, “People come mostly during Ashwin month, as per the Hindu calendar. Mother’s birth Mahotsav is celebrated on Saptami day of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. On that day people come in large numbers.
He added, “ The other day when there was a huge gathering in the temple was on the day of Chaudas of Shukla Paksha during Kartik month. On that day Parikrama of Mother Goddess is performed.
