New Delhi: India and Pakistan are engaged in an armed conflict with both sides trying to put a dent in each other’s territory. While Indian Armed Forces have achieved great success so far by taking down Pakistan’s missiles and drones with ease, the hostile neighbour has suffered multiple losses in the clashes. Since the ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has relentlessly attacked Pakistan and their losses are steadily mounting. Amid such a scenario, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif is facing the heat from his country’s politicians.
On May 9, a Pakistani MP tore apart Sharif and called him ‘buzdil’, which means coward. He referred to Tipu Sultan’s quote where the ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore said that if a tiger leads a group, then everyone in that group, including the coward, fights like a tiger, whereas if a coward leads a group of tigers, then everyone in the group fights like a coward.
He said, “The soldiers of the Pakistani Army who are defending the nation expect their leader (Shehbaz Sharif) to fight with courage. But when the leader is a coward who cannot even take the name of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, then what message does it send to the soldiers fighting at the border?”
Earlier, a Pakistani Parliamentarian cried and sought the forgiveness of Allah, asking for the protection of the country. Major Tahir Iqbal, a former army officer and a politician, said in the Pakistan Parliament, “We are all united in the face of aggression at this time. Now, let’s connect with Allah and pray to it to save this nation which you gave us. Prophet Muhammad visited Quaide-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in his dream when he was in England and told him to come back and resolve the issue of Pakistan. Pakistan is such a miracle that Allah has given to us and it will save us.”
He added that Muslims worldwide are facing problems due to their religious ignorance. Iqbal said, “Muslims around the world including Palestine and Kashmir are in trouble only because of our religious ignorance and defiance of god. We seek your forgiveness and bow our head before you.”
