Non-Hindus won’t be allowed to run food outlets at MahaKumbh; Akhara Parishad decides

Haridwar: Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad, the apex body of seers in Haridwar, has taken the decision that non-Hindus won’t be allowed to run eateries at the Mahakumbh which is going to be held in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh next year.

This decision has been taken in the light of recent incidents of spitting in tea and other food items by people of a particular community.

Efforts are being made to corrupt Sanatan culture

On Monday, Akhara Parishad President, Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri Maharaj of Niranjani Akhara said that efforts are being made to corrupt the Sanatan culture by spitting in food and mixing the urine at some places. Therefore, Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad has taken this decision in Prayagraj not to allow non-Hindus to sell food during Mahakumbh. “The All-India Akhara Parishad has decided to ban the entry of non-Hindus in the Prayag Kumbh. Before Kumbh, the Uttar Pradesh government will have to decide who will sell juice and who will serve food. If such an act comes to fore in Kumbh, then Sanatanis will not sit quiet and Naga Sanyasis will punish such people” he added.

Many photos and videos emerged recently showing people spitting in food

On Monday, while sending off the Chhari Yatra organised by Shri Panchdashnam Juna Akhara from Har ki Pauri after performing the puja, Srimahant Ravindrapuri Maharaj said that recently photos and videos have emerged from many places showing how non-Hindus are carrying out Jihad by polluting the food items. He added further, “From the security point of view, we will demand from the authorities that visitors should be identified before their entry in Mahakumbh. Besides, we will also emphasise that no shop and stall should be allotted to non-Hindus.”

Silence of maulanas is really worrisome

The chief of Mahanirvani Akhara, another faction of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, Ravindra Puri also opposed the entry of non-Hindus and said, “People from minority community should not be allowed to open food outlets on the premises of Maha Kumbh. Despite this, if someone does anything wrong, the Naga sanyasis will teach him an appropriate lesson. They have the authority to teach a lesson as well as punish.” Taking cognizance of the viral videos of Mussoorie and other places, he said that if such acts are being committed and the Maulanas of the Muslim community are keeping quiet, then it is extremely worrying.
