New Delhi: Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has approved the inclusion of a caste-based census in the upcoming national census, keeping in mind the current needs of the country.

“For the past 11 years, the government led by Prime Minister Modi has worked in line with the core spirit of the Constitution, upholding the commitment to Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (Together with all, Development for all). Today’s decision will further strengthen the vision of inclusive growth and social justice,” Pradhan added.
“Unlike the Congress and other opposition parties, which have always misled the public on the issue of caste census—limiting their efforts only to caste surveys and never integrating it with the official census—this government has demonstrated clarity and far-sightedness. This sensitive and corrective step, made possible by the firm resolve of Prime Minister Modi, reflects a commitment to rectifying historical injustices and advancing a more equitable society,” the Union Minister further said.
