New Delhi: Team India will take on New Zealand in the second Test of a three-match series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association in Pune on October 24. The Visitors defeated Rohit and Co. by 8 wickets in the first Test at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The Men in Blue bundled out for 46 runs in the first innings after opting to bat first. The Indian batters looked clueless against the New Zealand pacers. Henry picked up 5 wickets and William ORourke took 4 wickets. Tom Latham and Devon Conway stitched a 67-run partnership for the opening wicket.

Team India made a great comeback on Day 3 and picked up early wickets to put pressure back on the Kiwis but Rachin Ravindra and Tim Southee stitched a 137-run partnership for the eighth wicket and helped their team to take a big lead in the first innings.

Rohit and Jaiswal started well in the second innings and built a 72-run partnership for the opening wicket. Ajaz Patel removed both Indian openers but Kohli and Sarfaraz built a 136-run partnership for the third wicket.

Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan helped India to make a great comeback on Day 4 and stitched a 177-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Sarfaraz amassed 150 runs off 195 balls, his outstanding knock was laced with 18 boundaries and three maximums. Pant also scored 99 runs.

But New Zealand made a stunning comeback with the second new ball as Team India got all out for 462 runs in the second innings. Conway, Will Young and Rachin Ravindra made crucial contributions with the bat on Day 5 and helped their team beat India in the first Test.
