TMC clean sweeps West Bengal bypolls, wins 4, leads on 2 seats

The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) is heading for a massive victory in the West Bengal assembly bypolls. The TMC has so far won 4 seats and is leading on two.

TMC has won Sitai, Madarihat, Naihati, Haroa and is leading on Medinipur, Taldangra. The counting began on 8 am in the morning.

The TMC candidates are leading with a commanding majority on their respective two seats with the bJP candidates trailing. The bypolls in these seats was necessitated after the resignation of legislators who vacated their seats following their election to the Lok Sabha in June this year.
