New Delhi: Aishwarya Rai, estranged wife of Tej Pratap Yadav who has been ousted from RJD has attacked the Yadav family and posed questions amid the ongoing row over the latter’s alleged relationship for years with a young woman. The woman has been identified as Anushka Yadav, reportedly the sister of Aakash Yadav, a close friend of Tej Pratap.
Notably, Rai is grand-daughter of Daroga Rai, the former Chief Minister of Bihar. Tej Pratap and Rai got married in 2018. After the outbreak of the latest scandal, Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled Tej Pratap from the party and the family for six years and Rai has called the move an eyewash to mislead the people.
She asked the Yadav family if they knew everything about the alleged relationship of Tej, then why did they got him married to her in the first place which ruined her life. She said, “We want to ask, when they already knew about all this, then why did they ruin my life? All of them are involved in this together. I came to know everything through the media. Whatever information I get, I get it from the media, even the news about the divorce, I found out through the media. Where was their ‘social justice’ when I was beaten and abused?”.
Rai also attacked Rabri Devi, the former Bihar CM who was her mother-in-law and said that it she who orchestrated this whole drama of expelling and staying quiet since the Bihar Assembly elections is just around the corner. She also questioned Rabri’s stance when she was being abused and beaten.
She said, “Rabri Devi must have gone yesterday and told them to stay quiet for now, since it’s election time, that’s why they’re putting on this drama.” She also alleged that Lalu Yadav is only doing drama and pretending to have expelled Tej. Moreover, she raised questions about her “social justice” and vowed to continue her legal battle in court.
Aishwarya said, “You’ve been seeing this for the past 7 years. I’ve been the one doing everything. Now it’s out in the open that it’s been going on for 12 years. It’s very easy to tarnish a girl’s dignity. They are all in this together. This drama they are putting up, pretending to have thrown him out, what about my social justice? When will I get that? I’ve been fighting in court, and I will continue to fight.”
Aishwarya is a Delhi University graduate with an MBA. She and Tej got married in 2018 in Patna, but got separated after a few months. Aishwarya made serious allegations against the Yadav family, including former Chief Minister and Lalu Yadav’s wife Rabri Devi. The divorce case of the couple is pending in court.
