New Delhi: A political war of words has heated up in Bihar ahead of the assembly elections. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a strong attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav during a rally in Siwan, the former Bihar Chief Minister responded with a sarcastic post on social media platform X.
Lalu Prasad issued what he called a “weather warning” for Bihar, taking a dig at PM Modi. He posted an AI-generated video that included clips of PM Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Along with the video, Lalu wrote, “Weather warning in the interest of Bihar – Today there is heavy rain of lies, false promises, and illusions in Bihar. Hailstones of false and tempting promises are also falling along with thunder. Be careful.”
#Bihar #TejashwiYadav #RJD pic.twitter.com/VrGTcjRN98

PM Modi slams Lalu Prasad during public rally in Siwan
This came hours after PM Modi criticized Lalu Prasad and the RJD during a public meeting. Referring to a viral video that allegedly showed Lalu’s feet near Dr BR Ambedkar’s portrait, PM Modi accused RJD of disrespecting the Dalit icon.
“The whole country saw what RJD did to Babasaheb Ambedkar’s photo. These people will never apologise because they have no respect for Dalits and backward classes,” PM Modi said, adding, “They keep his photo at their feet, while I keep him in my heart.”
‘RJD, Congress brought jungle raj, gunda raj to Bihar’: PM Modi
PM Modi also targeted both RJD and Congress, accusing them of misgoverning Bihar and holding it back with corruption and poor infrastructure. “They brought jungle raj, mafia raj, and gunda raj to Bihar. Now they want to bring it back again. But we must be alert for the future of our children,” he said.
He further claimed that their politics is only about promoting their own families. “Their politics is about ‘parivar ka sath, parivar ka vikas’ – support for the family and development of the family. They don’t care if crores of families in Bihar suffer. Babasaheb Ambedkar was against such politics,” PM Modi said.
