Delhi CM Atishi booked for MCC violation over use of govt vehicle in poll campaign

New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Atishi has been booked by the Delhi Police for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). The police registered a case under Section 223(a) of the BNS, following allegations that she used a government vehicle for political purposes during election campaigning.

The FIR was lodged at the Govindpuri Police Station based on a complaint by the Election Commission. Additionally, an FIR has been filed against executive engineer Sanjay Kumar over the use of PWD and Delhi government vehicles in her election campaign.

The complaint alleges misuse of government resources, including vehicles, for political activities, a breach of the MCC.
