Decide a menu for providing proper meals to patients

The medical education department has been asked to decide a menu for providing proper meals to the patients undergoing treatment in the medical colleges. The menu will be put on display in every ward. Apart from the superintendent of the medical colleges, nursing in-charge of the wards will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness.

Only one attendant will stay with patient at a time in the ward

Under the new system, only one attendant will be allowed to stay with the patient concerned at a time in the wards. There will be a fixed period for the visitors to meet the patients. There will be regular monitoring of the meals given to the patients. Paramedical, technicians and ward boys will be outsourced for their deployment in the wards of medical colleges. The medical education department is likely to make the SOP by the end of this year. It may come into effect with the beginning of the new year.
