BJP leader Kapoor accused Atishi, Kejriwal of defaming him

Magisterial court issued summons to Atishi on May 28

The magisterial court had issued summons to Atishi in the case on May 28. It, however, had refused to summon Kejriwal as an accused in the case.

Atishi was granted bail in the case on July 23 after she appeared before the court in pursuant to summons.

The court on Wednesday directed Atishi to submit her rejoinder by November 22.

“It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner (Atishi) that a small adjournment is required to file a rejoinder to the reply filed by the respondent. The prayer is allowed. Let rejoinder be filed by the petitioner prior to the next date with advance copy to the respondent. List for submissions on November 22, 2024,” the judge said, news agency PTI reported.

Atishi had failed to furnish evidence to support her claim about poaching attempts on AAP MLAs: BJP leader

Atishi reportedly claimed that the BJP contacted 21 AAP MLAs and offered Rs 25 lakh to each of them to switch over to the BJP.

Kapoor had moved the court with a criminal defamation complaint accusing Atishi of making false claims about poaching attempts on the AAP MLAs, saying that the AAP leader had failed to furnish evidence to support her claim.
