From Odisha to UP: States hold ‘Tiranga Yatra’ to salute armed forces for Operation Sindoor

New Delhi: In a show of unity and national pride, several states organised ‘Tiranga Yatras’ on Wednesday to honour the Indian armed forces for the success of Operation Sindoor, which was carried out in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. These rallies, held in different parts of the country, aimed to express gratitude to the defence forces and boost public morale.

The yatra events saw participation from Chief Ministers, Union Ministers, senior BJP leaders, and hundreds of citizens, who waved the national flag and raised slogans supporting the armed forces.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi flagged off the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ or ‘Parakram Sobha Yatra’ in Bhubaneswar. The rally started from Kalinga Stadium and moved towards Raj Bhavan, passing through various parts of the city.

The yatra was organised to salute the armed forces for their courage and success in Operation Sindoor. “We feel proud of our Tiranga as it inspires us,” said CM Majhi while addressing participants.

Jharkhand: BJP’s yatra led by state party chief and MoS Defence

In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, the BJP held a Tiranga Yatra led by state party president Babulal Marandi and Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth. The rally started from Shaheed Chowk and moved towards Birsa Munda Samadhi Sthal in Kokar, covering around 3 km.

Holding the tricolour, supporters raised slogans like ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Armed Forces Zindabad’, showing their support for the soldiers and their mission.

Uttar Pradesh: CM Yogi Adityanath flags off ‘Bharat Shaurya Tiranga Yatra’

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the ‘Bharat Shaurya Tiranga Yatra’, stating that Operation Sindoor delivered a powerful message to the enemies of India. “The world saw how our armed forces responded on land, sea, and air,” he said.

CM Adityanath described Pakistan as a “failed state” that promotes terrorism and added, “If anyone dares to threaten India or its daughters, they will face consequences.” He thanked PM Modi for his strong leadership and support for the armed forces.

Maharashtra: Eknath Shinde leads Tiranga Rally in Thane

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde joined the Tiranga Yatra in Thane, saying that the armed forces had given a fitting reply to terrorists through Operation Sindoor. 

“Pakistani terrorists wiped off the sindoor of our sisters in Pahalgam. PM Modi supported the jawans and the emotions of every Indian,” he said.

Uttarakhand: CM Dhami leads ‘Tiranga Shaurya Samman Yatra’

In Dehradun, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led the ‘Tiranga Shaurya Samman Yatra’ and praised the efforts of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and paramilitary forces. He said the success of Operation Sindoor made every Indian proud.

“Through this operation, our forces showed the enemies the result of attacking India,” Dhami said. He also thanked PM Modi for the decisive leadership that enabled the operation.
