Dehradun: Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, who chaired the meeting of the high-powered committee (HPC) on 38th national games 2025 on the state secretariat premises on Friday afternoon, gave several financial as well in-principle approvals.

While underlining the need for proper coordination among different departments concerned for the systematic and successful holding of the national games, she made it clear that tender processes related to sports equipment must be completed in a timely manner.

Coordination with municipal corporations of Dehradun, Haridwar, Haldwani and Rudrapur  

She asked the officials concerned to coordinate with municipal corporations of Dehradun, Haridwar, Haldwani and Rudrapur and ensure beautification of the cities, repair of approach roads leading sports venues, waste management from the venues and providing the benefits of bus services to volunteers.

UPCL to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the sports venues  

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has been tasked to coordinate with the sports department for uninterrupted power supply during the events at the sports venues and electrical safety certificates for the venues. The officers concerned will coordinate with the Drinking water corporation for structural safety certification of venues.

The public works department (PWD) is entrusted with the task of beautification of inner and outer roads of the cities where sports events are proposed, besides structural safety of the venues.

Fire safety certification of the sports venues

Uttarakhand Fire and Emergency Services will be in coordination with the officers concerned for fire safety certification of the venues and adequate arrangements of fire brigade vehicles at the venues.

Coordination with Airport Authority of India and Northern Railway Zone

The officers have been also asked to coordinate with Airport Authority of India as well as Northern Railway Zone for free help desk facility, special space at airports and stations to receive the players and guests for pass facility.

Traffic management and parking arrangement at the sports venue

Proper traffic management in the cities where sports events are proposed to be held, also discussed at the meeting of HPC. SSPs of Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital will be in touch with officers concerned for security management at the venues, traffic movement, parking management, police escort for VVIPs, and security provisions for dignitaries receiving protocol.

A Fit to Eat certificate to each venue of national games 2025 will be issued by the Food and Civil supplies department.
