New Delhi: Nayanthara has time and again charmed cinema lovers with her onscreen performances. Now, to give fans a special glimpse into her personal life, the 39-year-old actress will soon make waves in the OTT world with Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.
On Wednesday (October 30, 2024), streaming giant Netflix took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce the release date of the upcoming docu-film. Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale will be available for streaming on the digital platform from November 18, 2024, coinciding with the birthday of the Jawan diva.

“In every universe, she’s the brightest star,” read Netflix’s social media post. The announcement has left Nayanthara’s fans elated with excitement. According to social media buzz, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale was initially planned as a wedding film, but it evolved into a portrayal of her career and personal life.

The teaser of Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale is said to have been unveiled at Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event. It featured heartwarming moments of the preparations for Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s grand wedding. The much-in-love couple tied the knot on June 9, 2022, in Mahabalipuram and later welcomed their twin children, Rudronil N Shivan and Ulag Dhaivag N Shivan, via surrogacy.
On the professional front, Nayanthara was last seen on the silver screen in Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food. The Tamil-language film, directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, unfortunately didn’t make a significant impact at the Box Office. Its storyline centers on a woman facing numerous obstacles as she pursues her dream of becoming a chef.
