New Delhi: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) led government at Centre has picked All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief, Asaduddin Owaisi to present the India’s position on the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor at global stage.
This comes after the Centre announced to send eight parliamentarian delegation will visit different countries to ‘expose” the Pakistan and its “state sponsored” terrorism in India.
Speaking to news agency, PTI, Owaisi said that India has been a “victim of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism”. “We will tell the world about what’s happening in our country, how our women are becoming widows and children becoming orphans, and how Pakistan wants to destabilise us”.
“This began during the time of (former Pakistan President) Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, and we need to tell the world about this and also about the Kandahar plane hijack, the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, the 2001 Parliament attacks, the Uri and Pathankot incidents, the killing of seven tourists in Reasi, and Pahalgam. This is a danger for humanity,” Owaisi added.
Known for his fiery speeches and vocal for the issues related to the minorities in the country, Owaisi is considered as a fearless opposition to the Modi government from the Muslim community. After the Operation Sindoor Owaisi made slogans of “Pakistan Murdabad” from the stage during public really and that video went viral on social media platforms getting him huge praise from countrymen.
Criticizing Pakistan for projecting itself as ab “Islamic country”, Owaisi asserted that India also has 20 crore Muslims. So far there is no official confirmation from the government, which country Owaisi will be going to as part of the parliamentarians group.
“As of now, I know that the group I belong to will be headed by my good friend Baijayant Jay Panda. I think this group will include Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu, and Ghulam Nabi Azad. The countries I think we’ll be going to are the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Denmark,” Owaisi said.
Meanwhile several opposition leaders from Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) have accepted the Centre’s nomination.

Our mission is to convey India’s united and unwavering message of zero tolerance against terrorism,” Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) have accepted the Centre’s nomination wrote on the social media platform X.
