WhatsApp’s Latest Update Will Change How You Add Contacts: Know all Details

WhatsApp has added new features that enable users to add recipients and manage contacts via the mobile application together with WhatsApp Web and the Windows application. This advantage will soon be expanded to the other linked devices, thereby making the platform more usable.

Another of the new features of this update is the synchronisation of contacts via WhatsApp Web or the Windows app, where users can now enter contacts directly from a computer rather than having to switch to a phone to handle contacts. In particular, this will be beneficial for those who use a desktop version of the application or conduct business using WhatsApp. To its desktop users, this is a more convenient way compared to when they have to type with the help of the on-screen keyboard, which is provided by WhatsApp.

Select Contacts for improved WhatsApp Application

Besides, the opportunity of its desktop version in contact management facilitates the ability to store users’ contacts in the application but not in a general phone contact. This feature is particularly useful for those who have different groups of friends, family, and work contacts, or if two people use one phone. It is only through this way that your contacts are entirely associated with WhatsApp, thereby assisting the users in managing their communications more efficiently and on a privileged basis.

Automated Backup for Extra Security

Integrated within the app is a backup feature for these contacts, which preserves any contact created within the app and syncs it to a new device or rebuilt phone. This extra layer of security and comfort ensures that relevant contacts shall not be lost and definitely enhances the reliability of the user’s Contact List.

Future Feature: Contact Management via Usernames

In the future, the creators have some interesting features planned for this app, including the ability to add and organise contacts by username rather than number. Unfortunately, this development would add yet another layer of privacy as people would not have to use their personal phone numbers in order to be connected. Usernames reduce the extent to which one can reveal personal information in dialogues, especially in business or unknown circumstances.

This update is a big step forward for the popular WhatsApp app in question of users’ privacy and convenience, with additional options already expected to be released shortly.
