Nagpur: A 12-year-old girl from Nagpur, Maharashtra, was seriously injured after falling from a zipline during a family vacation in Manali, Himachal Pradesh.
The incident took place on June 8, and the girl is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
This is why adventure sports aren’t safe in India. In Manali, a young girl fell from a zipline—nearly 30 feet—and is now seriously injured. Anyone without proper experience starts these activities, and there’s no one to check. Action is only taken after a fatal accident happens. pic.twitter.com/Xy5LNYRDwe

The girl, identified as Trisha Bijwe, was enjoying a zipline ride when the rope connected to her harness suddenly snapped. A video of the accident has gone viral on social media, showing Trisha falling onto rocks below after the harness failed.
The fall caused multiple fractures, and she had to undergo surgery soon after the accident.
Trisha’s father, Prafull Bijwe, confirmed that his daughter is now in a stable condition. The family was in Manali for a holiday when the shocking incident occurred.
Sources close to the family said Trisha is receiving treatment and recovering gradually, though she remains under close medical supervision. The family has not yet commented on whether they will take legal action against the zipline operators.
