On day three of the shooting competition at Khelo India Youth Games 2025, Vedant Nitin from Maharashtra secured the gold medal in the 50m 3 Positions Rifle (Men’s Youth Category) with a score of 452.5. Close behind him were Rohit Kanyan from Haryana with 451.9 points and Amitoj Singh from Punjab with 440.1 points, winning silver and bronze respectively.
After his victory, Vedant said, “In the last edition of Khelo India, I had finished fifth once, so I was a bit nervous this time. But now that I’ve won the gold medal, it feels very special. I’ve been associated with Khelo India since 2022, and thanks to the financial support provided, things have become much easier. I’ve participated in previous editions, but this year the arrangements made by the Government of Bihar are truly commendable.”
Rohit Kanyan commented, “If I had taken my last shot better, I could have won the gold. But now I’m aiming for gold in upcoming competitions.”
Amitoj Singh added, “This was my first Khelo India competition, and by God’s grace, I have won the bronze medal.”
Delhi is hosting three sports — Shooting, Cycling, and Gymnastics — from May 4 to 15 at Karni Singh Shooting Range and Indira Gandhi Stadium.
