The weather pattern, driven by pre-monsoon activity, is expected to bring both relief and caution across the state.
According to the IMD, dark clouds continue to hover over the state, with intermittent rainfall recorded over the past few days. The current spell is expected to intensify, particularly in Bageshwar and Pithoragarh, where a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Wind speeds may reach 40–50 km/h, especially in exposed and elevated areas.

On Tuesday, the city recorded a high of 34.7°C and a low of 24.5°C, reflecting a slight dip due to overnight showers. Similar trends were observed in other parts of the state: Pantnagar recorded 34.5°C/25.5°C, Mukteshwar remained cooler at 23°C/15.8°C, and New Tehri registered 24.6°C/17.6°C.
