New Delhi: In a freak accident, a girl’s hair got pulled from her scalp on a swing in Talgram area of Madhonagar village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district recentally. The girl, identified as Anuradha was enjoying on the swing when the incident happened. While enjoying the swing, Anuradha’s hair began to get tangled in the upper metal rod of the swing. She started screaming in pain, but her hair continued to wrap around the swing.

After hearing her cries, the swing operators, in a rush, stopped the ride, but by the time they could stop it, her hair had been completely pulled from her scalp, leaving a bowl-shaped bald patch. As soon as her hair detached from her head, the girl, bleeding and unconscious, fell limp. People were horrified at the sight of the girl’s condition.

Girl in critical condition

Someone recorded a video of the horrific accident and uploaded it on social media. After the incident, the girl was admitted to a medical college where, after initial treatment, her condition was deemed critical, so she was referred to Lucknow PGI. Her condition continues to be critical. Meanwhile, the swing operator fled with the ride after the incident. The victim’s family members managed to take hold of the operator’s Aadhaar card.

The incident sparked an uproar throughout the district, raising concerns about the safety measures in place at such fairs. People are questioning how such a severe accident could happen, endangering the girl’s life.

The police were also informed about the incident. Talgram Station House Officer (SHO) Shashikant Kanaujia said that a case has been registered under relevant sections against Karan Kashyap, the owner of the swing operating at the fair.
