In other news, TMC has decided to send Abhishek Banerjee, the party’s second-in-command as the party’s representative in the all-party delegations of MPs that will go to several countries to highlight India’s policy of zero intolerance against terrorism in the wake of Operation Sindoor which was executed by the Indian Armed Forces as the retaliation of the Pahalgam terror attack. The Centre is sending several MPs across party lines to promote the country’s stance against terrorism.
Notably, the Centre earlier chose TMC MP Yusuf Pathan in the all-party delegation but he opted out. As per reports, the move came after CM Banerjee and her party expressed displeasure at the Centre choosing names for other parties without consulting them. The Centre is sending seven delegations which comprises of parliamentarians and political leaders. The delegations have been given the responsibility to go to several countries and spread India’s stance against terrorism after Operation Sindoor.
