New Delhi: The Department of School Education, Telangana, has started the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET) 2025 registration process today, November 5. The TG TET 2024 registration link is available on the official website, tstet2024.aptonline.in. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the TG TET- 2 exam 2024 till November 20. The TS TET 2024 phase 2 exam is scheduled to be held as a computer-based test between January 1 to January 20, 2025.
To apply for TS TET 2024, candidates first need to go to the official TS TET website and on the homepage click on the registration link. Complete the registration and then proceed to fill out the application form. While filling out the form, upload the necessary documents and make payment of the application fee. Once done, review the details entered and then submit the form.
TS TET 2024-25 Application: Eligibility criteria
To apply for the Telangana TET exam, candidates need to fulfil the below requirements-
- Paper 1- Candidates must have completed Class 12 with at least 50 per cent. A-year Diploma in Elementary Education, a four-year degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd), or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) is required.
- Paper 2- Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree is necessary with a minimum of 50 per cent. A BEd or Bachelor of Education (Special Education) is required. Candidates can check the official notice for more details on the eligibility requirements.
Candidates who qualify for the exam will be selected for teaching posts for Class 1 to Class 8 in the state. The TS TET Paper 1 exam is conducted to recruit primary teachers (Class 1 to Class 5), while paper 2 is held for the recruitment of secondary teachers (Class 6 to Class 8).
Every year, the Department of School Education in Telangana conducts the TET exam in two phases. This year, the phase 1 exam was held in May wherein over 2,00,000 candidates appeared. The phase 2 will be held in January 2025.
