Terror module of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh busted in West Bengal amid India-Pakistan conflict

New Delhi: Amid the escalating conflicts between India and Pakistan, the terror module of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh has been busted in West Bengal. On the night between May 8 and May 9, 2025, the Special Task Force West Bengal conducted simultaneous raids in Birbhum’s Nalhati and Murarai and arrested two suspects.

The name of the suspects are Ajmol Hossain (28) who has been arrested from Nalhati and Saheb Ali Khan (28) who has been arrested from Murarai. Both of them are allegedly are linked to the banned outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh or JMB. They have been arrested due to allegedly disseminating jihadi and seditious contents, radicalising youth for ‘Ghazwatul Hind’, planning targeted attacks in India, and attempting to procure arms and explosive.

Meanwhile, a Pakistani MP heavily criticised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and called him ‘buzdil’ (coward). He referred to a quote by Tipu Sultan where the Kingdom of Mysore’s ruler said that if a tiger leads a group, then everyone in that group will fight like a tiger, whereas if a coward leads a group of tigers, then everyone will fight like a coward. He said the soldiers of the Pakistan Army are not motivated by the Prime Minister. Earlier, a Pakistani Parliamentarian cried and sought the forgiveness of Allah, asking for the protection of the country. India executed the daring ‘Operation Sindoor’ in nine locations across Pakistan and the LOC, destroyed several terrorist bases and executed more than 100 terrorists.
