Six-year-old child dies after school gate falls on him; parents protest

Hyderabad: Parents and relatives of a six-year-old boy who died after a school gate collapsed on him, protested at the school on Tuesday demanding justice for their child, reports said.

The child identified as A Ajay, a class 1 student at Zilla Parishad High School in Hayathnagar, succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the hospital.

“The seven-feet-tall gate fell on the child when other students were playing around it on Monday afternoon. We have booked a case of negligence against the school management,” the police said.

The child’s body was shifted to Osmania hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
