Six labourers killed in truck-autorickshaw accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur

Jabalpur: Six people were killed and several others injured critically on Wednesday after an autorickshaw ferrying labourers was hit by a speeding truck and trapped under it on the Majhgawan-Sihora road in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

The accident took place in Majhgawan police station area. The ill-fated autorickshaw was taking a group of daily wage labourers on a busy road when a truck overturned on it. Six of the passengers were killed on the spot in the accident while the injured were rushed to a hospital.

Enraged by the deaths, local people took out a protest on the road and blocked the traffic movement for hours. Police have arrived at the crash site and further investigation is underway.
