Sambhal mosque survey: SC should intervene & ensure justice, says Priyanka Gandhi

New Delhi: Amid five deaths over Sambhal mosque survey violence in Uttar Pradesh, Senior Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi has called for the Supreme Court intervention to ensure justice in the case.

Priyanka Gandhi slammed Uttar Pradesh government and said the attitude of the state government is unfortunate in the entire incident. She said the way in whcih all the decisions were made without hearing the opposite party clearly shaws that the government itself wanted to spoil the environment in the area. Why didn’t the local administration followed the proper procedure in the entire process, Priyanka questioned.

Writing on X, “Priyanka Gandhi said, the attitude of the state government towards the sudden dispute in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh is very unfortunate. The way the administration acted in haste in such a sensitive matter without listening to the other side and without taking both the parties into confidence shows that the government itself spoiled the atmosphere. The administration did not even consider it necessary to follow the necessary procedure and duty.”

“Sitting in power and trying to spread discrimination, oppression and division is neither in the interest of the people nor in the interest of the country. The honourable Supreme Court should take cognizance of this matter and do justice,” she further stated.

“I appeal to the people of the state to maintain peace under all circumstances,” Priyanka Gandhi added.
