Patna: RJD leader and former Minister in the Bihar government, Tej Pratap Yadav on Sunday issued a clarification regarding a viral Facebook post. He claimed that his Facebook page had been hacked, after a post accompanied with a picture claimed that he was in a ‘relationship’ with a woman.
Facebook post deleted
The Facebook post has now been deleted. Yadav claimed that the post was an alleged attempt to defame him and his family. He wrote on ‘X’, “there has been an attempt to defame and harass” me and my family members.
Yadav claimed that his social media handle (Facebook) was hacked and photographs were edited wrongfully. The post had gone viral and was also picked up by several news outlets.

The now deleted post had a picture of Yadav with a woman and the caption read, “The one seen in this picture is Anushka Yadav. We have been known to each other for the last 12 years. We are in love and have been in a relationship for 12 years.”
Several people had reacted to the post, many in a disparaging manner. Netizens reminded the Bihar politician about his marriage to Aishwarya Rai, the granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister, Daroga Rai. The 2 got married in 2018.
The marriage however did not last long, as within a few months, Aishwarya was seen leaving the house of her in-laws in Patna, with her belongings. When questioned about the reasons for leaving, she had claimed that she was thrown out by her in-laws and husband.
There is no clarity on whether Tej Pratap Yadav filed a complaint regarding the alleged Facebook hack. He has however asked his followers to remain watchful and not fall in for rumours.
