Ratnagiri tension: Religious slogans shouted as RSS workers pass through locality

Ratnagiri: Slogans of ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ were shouted in ​Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri, when the parade of RSS workers was passing through Kokan Nagar area of the city. The police reached the locality as the matter started getting tense and controlled the situation.

The police continue to remain in the even as the peace has returned in the area. Even though an FIR has been filed in the case, the police are trying to catch those who raised the locals. The incident has also gone viral on social media.

BJP MLA Nitesh Rane, who too shared the video on his X handle, expressed concerns over the incident and said, “What happened in Ratnagiri yesterday was just a trailer. The RSS procession was going to be taken out peacefully. At the same time, they raised the slogan of Allah Hu Akbar. They tried to stop the parade of RSS workers. This is what I am saying, they will keep doing such things while living in our country and our Hindu nation.”

Asking about the need to stop the parade of RSS, a patriotic organisation, he urged the Hindu society to stay united. “That is why the Hindu society should always remember that if you are divided, you will be divided. If you stay together, you will stay united,” he said further. Speaking further Rane expressed hope that the government will take action against those responsible for this action.

RSS workers marched ahead after the police intervention

In the video, RSS workers can be seen walking in formation. They were also accompanied by a band. Tensions gripped the area after some individuals tried to block the procession and chanted religious slogans. The march however continued after the intervention of the police.
