Raksha ka Bandhan: A promise of safety from the heart of Tata Motors

Raksha Bandhan is more than a festival — it’s a celebration of bonds built on care, trust, and protection. At Tata Motors, these values extend far beyond our factory gates, reaching the highways where India’s unsung heroes, our truck drivers, keep the nation moving.

This year, through our Raksha ka Bandhan initiative in partnership with TV9 Network, the women of the all-women Durga Line at Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant — who work every day to make India’s safest trucks — crafted special rakhis for truck drivers at Kalamboli Transport Nagar, Navi Mumbai.

For these women, every driver on India’s roads is family. Each rakhi carried not just colourful threads, but a heartfelt message: We care for you. We work to keep you safe, every mile of your journey. Alongside each rakhi came a personal note, reminding drivers that Tata Motors’ commitment to safety goes beyond engineering.

These women build trucks with advanced active and passive safety technologies to safeguard both drivers and cargo. The rakhis they sent this Raksha Bandhan are symbolic extensions of that mission — threads of protection tied with love and respect.

At Kalamboli, smiles, emotion, and gratitude filled the air as these rakhis were tied. For the drivers, it was a rare and powerful reminder that someone far away is thinking about their safety every single day.

Because for Tata Motors, every driver is family. And for family, safety always comes first.
