Rajasthan: Car collides with stationary truck in Dausa, 4 killed

Dausa: A major accident was reported in Rajasthan’s Dausa district. A car collided with a truck, which killed 4 people. Among the dead were 3 women, police said. The accident happened on National Highway-21, in front of the RTO office. It is speculated that the accident happened when an RTO team asked the truck driver to stop for checking, and the car coming from behind not knowing that the truck was going to stop, hit it directly.

According to reports, the car involved in the accident had a registration plate of Haryana. There were 4 people inside the vehicle, all of whom died on the spot, police said. Those killed included 3 women and 1 man.

Investigations revealed that all the 4 people killed in the accident belonged to the same family. They have been identified as Dipanshu Jat, his sister Sakshi Jat, mother Pramila Jat and another elderly woman of the family Balo Jat. The deceased belonged to Haryana’s Rohtak. They were travelling from Jaipur to Bharatpur in their car, when the accident happened, said officials.

Eyewitnesses said that the accident happened when the RTO was conducting a checking of vehicles on that stretch of the road. The RTO officials had stopped a truck with a Jharkhand registration number, when the car coming from behind hit it with massive force.

Following the accident senior police officials, including DSP Ravi Sharma reached the site. The police have seized the truck involved in the accident.

The bodies have been sent to the mortuary of the district hospital. The police are investigating the reason for the accident. Meanwhile relatives of the victim reached the Dausa District HOspital, where a postmortem of the bodies is underway.
