‘Punishment beyond imagination…’: PM Modi’s stern warning to Pahalgam attackers, conspirators

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday delivered a strong message in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, vowing retribution against those responsible and warning that the punishment will be “beyond their imagination”. The PM while addressing a rally in Bihar’s Madhubani said that India will identify, track, and crush every individual involved in the ghastly act.

This came two days after terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, killing 28 people. This was his first public statement after the incident. PM Modi also called the attack “cowardly and inhuman”, adding that the country stands united in grief and resolve.

‘This is a new India, we strike back’

The Prime Minister’s speech comes amid heightened tensions, as the government has already announced a series of diplomatic and strategic measures targeting Pakistan, which it accuses of harbouring and enabling cross-border terrorism.

“Those who use their land for terror must listen carefully—India will destroy every inch of it,” Modi warned, adding, “This is a new India. We strike back.”
