Scheduled in the aftermath of ‘Operation Sindoor’—India’s recent military offensive targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK)—the conclave is being seen as a platform to strengthen the Centre’s message on national security and its counter-terrorism strategy.
Op Sindoor briefing planned
Sources have revealed that the key agenda is to update the top NDA leadership on the details of Operation Sindoor. The meeting will include a comprehensive briefing on the strikes, India’s post-operation security framework, and the steps being taken to avoid further escalation across the border.
“A key part of the agenda is to inform the state leadership about the objectives and outcomes of Operation Sindoor,” a source said. “It also serves as a way to project a united front against terrorism and reaffirm the NDA’s firm stance on national security.”
NDA coordination on security
The conclave is expected to bolster coordination among NDA-ruled states on matters related to internal and external security, ensuring that both central and state governments are aligned in their response to terror threats. In tandem with India’s military actions, diplomatic efforts have also intensified. JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, currently leading a multi-party delegation to Japan and other East Asian nations, said India has received solid backing from Japanese lawmakers in its anti-terrorism efforts.
Jha said that the delegation shared images of Pakistani military leaders attending the funerals of terrorists, highlighting Islamabad’s direct involvement in terror sponsorship. Meetings with prominent Japanese lawmakers, including former Defence Minister Minoru Kihara, helped build greater awareness of the issue internationally.
The upcoming conclave will serve not only as a coordination meeting but also as a signal to the international community that India remains resolute in its commitment to eradicating terrorism and safeguarding national interests.
