New Delhi: In a shocking incident, at least 26 people were killed and several others were injured in terror attack at a resort in Jammu Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Tuesday. Victims included tourists who had visited Pahalgam for the vacation. The Resistance Front, the proxy group of Pakistan0based Lashkar-e- Taiba claimed that attack. While several countries condemned the terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his Saudi Arabia and returned back to the country.
Soon after his arrival, he held a meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar and officials. Home Minister Amit Shah too left for Jammu and Kashmir last evening to take stock of the situation. Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi spoke to Shah and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and took updates from them.
