‘Nobody was attacked’: Delhi Police sources on allegations of attacks among BJP, AAP

New Delhi: A massive war of words began after AAP accused the BJP of pelting stones at party supremo Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi. The BJP too hit back at the ruling party in Delhi claiming that three of its supporters were hit by Kejriwal’s car.

Speaking to TV9 network, Delhi Police sources, however, said there were no attacks on anybody, even as efforts were made to stop the car, Both sides were shouting slogans at the time of the incident.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh while claiming that Kejriwal was attacked with stones while campaigning in the national capital, said, “They are attacking Arvind Kejriwal with stones. Parvesh Verma’s people attacked him with stones. You want to win the elections by hooliganism. The workers of Aam Aadmi Party, the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party, have never bowed down before you. Why do they do such cowardly acts, what will they achieve by this? BJP is a party of cowards, I strongly condemn it.”

BJP leader Parvesh Varma hits back at AAP’s allegations

Hitting back at former Delhi Chief Minister, AAP leader Parvesh Varma took to X saying, “When the people were asking questions, Arvind Kejriwal hit two youngsters with his car. Both were taken to Lady Harding Hospital. Seeing defeat in front, he forgot the value of people’s lives. I am going to the hospital.”

Refuting the allegations made by the AAP, one of the victims Rohit said while speaking to ANI, “He (Arvind Kejriwal) signaled the driver to hit us. I have been injured. Three people have been injured…I am a voter of this (New Delhi) constituency”
