Dehradun: Showcasing Uttarakhand’s rich culture, more than 3000 artist groups will give live performances at the inaugural ceremony of the National Games 2025 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on January 28. Three different group presentations will be organized and around 500 to 700 artists. The state government is giving final touch to the preparations for making the inaugural ceremony a grand event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the National Games 2025. With the athletes’ parade, the National Games 2025 will begin. PM Modi will inspect the parade in which a team of 20-25 players from each state participating in the National Games 2025 will take part. The star player of Badminton Lakshya Sen will handover the torch of the national Games 2025 to PM Modi at the inaugural ceremony. Around 1500 lights are being installed at the cricket stadium.
Famous playback singers of Uttarakhand origin to perform
Jubin Nautiyal and Pawandeep Rajan, the playback singers of Uttarakhand origin who have gained national fame, will also perform at the inaugural ceremony. Apart from them, Pandavas music band which promotes Kumaoyuni and Garhwali songs will also participate in the inaugural ceremony.
Grand stage for the artists
A 60-feet pyramid structure is being built behind the stage meant for the artists’ performance. 60-degree project mapping is being done on this structure. With the help of a 60-degree project, the audience will get the same view from every corner. Bollywood actors and famous cricketers have also been invited to attend the inaugural ceremony.
PM Modi may see presentation of Uttarakhand’s major projects
PM Modi is likely to spend at least four hours in the cricket stadium during the inaugural ceremony. PM Modi will reach Dehradun in the afternoon. The PM will also meet the guests, including the chief ministers and sports ministers of different states, attending the inaugural ceremony of the National Games. He also may see the presentation of Uttarakhand’s major schemes. In view of PM Modi’s presence at the inaugural ceremony of the National Games 2025, the state government has been holding a series of meetings to review the security arrangement.
