When asked about the role, Yash explained, “If the character is treated like a character… if this doesn’t happen today, then the film won’t happen. To make a film of this scale, you need actors who put the project and the vision first.” He highlighted that the decision to join the film was based on his admiration for the complex character of Ravana.

Yash further added, “Raavan is the most exciting character to play as an actor. I love the shades and nuances he offers. There’s vast scope to present the character in a unique way. As an actor, I’m very excited about it.”

Yash’s production venture

Yash also revealed that his involvement in Ramayana goes beyond acting. He has decided to co-produce the film, a decision he made during the initial conversations with Namit Malhotra. The actor believes that bringing Ramayana to the big screen requires a team effort that extends beyond individual stardom.

The excitement surrounding Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is palpable. Earlier this year, a leaked photo from the film’s set featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in costume went viral, creating a huge buzz on social media.
