Thanking US President Joe Biden for organising the event, the Prime Minister said that it reflected the shared determination of the Quad countries to provide affordable, accessible, and quality health care for the people. Reminding the Quad leaders of the initiative taken by India during the Covid pandemic, the PM said he was glad that Quad members have jointly decided to tackle challenges like cervical cancer. He further said that collaboration among countries is essential for the treatment of cancer.

New treatment protocol started in India: PM Modi

He added, “India has also produced a vaccine to fight cervical cancer. Apart from this, with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), we have started a new treatment protocol in the country. India is ready to share its experience and expertise with other countries. Many experts on cancer from India have joined us in this event today. India’s vision is ‘one earth on health’. With this aim, I announce the aid of $7.5 million for sampling kits, detection kits, and vaccines under the Quad Moonshot initiative. India will also help in Radiotherapy treatment and capacity building.”
