New Delhi: One of India’s most loved OTT series is set to make a silver screen debut. Yes, you guessed it right! Here we are talking about Mirzapur! The much-anticipated announcement was made on Monday (October 28, 2024) by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment through a special video on YouTube.

The powerful clip features the iconic characters of Mirzapur: Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit and Abhishek Banerjee as Compounder. But what raised fans’ excitement to new heights was the comeback of Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi. Have a look:

It was further revealed that Mirzapur The Film, created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh, will hit cinemas in 2026. It promises a larger-than-life theatrical spectacle. Additional details about the storyline are still under wraps.

Netizens are overjoyed with the announcement. “Can’t wait to see this. Munna Bhaiya’s comeback is pure emotion,” posted a user on X (formerly Twitter). Another wrote, “I haven’t watched Mirzapur on Prime yet, not even half an episode. But because I love watching films in theatres, I guess I’ll start watching it now so that I’m all caught up by the time the film releases.”

Mirzapur The Film OTT release date

It is to be noted that there is no official word so far on the OTT release of Mirzapur The Film. However, the makers have confirmed in a press release that the crime thriller will be available for digital streaming in over 240 countries and territories eight weeks after its theatrical release.
