Patna: BJP leader and YouTuber Manish Kashyap is undergoing treatment at a private hospital after being locked inside a room and badly beaten by junior doctors at Patna Medical College Hospital on Monday.
Kashyap had visited the hospital on Monday afternoon to plead for a patient. He, however, got into a dispute with a woman doctor during his visit. The matter increased after Kashyap reportedly started recording the video inside the hospital premises, which angered junior doctors present inside the premises.

Kashyap had visited the hospital in the afternoon to plead for a patient. During his visit, he allegedly got into a dispute with a female junior doctor. Soon, they locked him inside the room for three hours. The doctors were reportedly angry over his alleged misbehaviour with the lady doctor which led to arguments. On the other hand, Kashyap’s supporters claimed he was unjustly held by junior doctors.
Even as one of Manish Kashyap’s supporters claimed that no such incidents happened, the police confirmed intervening in the matter. It said that both sides resolved the matter. It said that no official complaint was filed in the case.
Hailing from West Champaran in Bihar, Manish Kashyap did his graduation in civil engineering from Pune in 2016. Soon after, he launched his YouTube channel ‘Sach Tak News’ in 2018. Through his channel, he used to question the government on problems concerning the common man.
He often landed in controversies. A number of cases were also lodged against him. Among his other cases, he was also once arrested for allegedly making and sharing fake videos of Bihari migrants in Tamil Nadu facing harassment.
In 2019, the YouTuber-turned-BJP leader was arrested two times for allegedly destroying the statue of King Edward VII in Bettiah. He was later taken in custody for allegedly beating up a Kashmiri shopkeeper in Patna after the April 22 Pulwama terror attack in which 26 people lost their lives and several people were injured.
