New Delhi: Smriti Mandhana smashed record 8th ODI century while Harmanpreet Kaur hit a remarkable unbeaten half-century as India women beat New Zealand 6 wickets in the third and final ODI at Ahmedabad to clinch the series 2-1. Mandhana, who surpassed Mithali Raj’s record for most centuries for India in women’s ODIs, and Harmanpreet shared 117-run stand to devastate the New Zealand bowling unit and snatch the match away from them after they made early inroads with Shafali Verma’s (12) wicket in the fourth over.

Chasing 233 runs, the Indian women got home comfortable in the 45th over, though take some extra time to get the final winning run. Apart from Mandhana (100) and Harmanpreet (59), wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia scored valuable 35 runs while Jemimah Rodrigues scored 22 runs.
