Patna: Indian tennis legend Mahesh Bhupathi visited Patna today and met with emerging tennis players. He interacted with them, discussing their training, game techniques, and future opportunities. While speaking with the young athletes, he advised them to stay dedicated to the sport and continuously work hard to improve their skills.

During his visit, Mahesh Bhupathi also met with the Additional Chief Secretary of the Sports Department, Dr. B. Rajender, and Director, Mr. Mahendra Kumar. They discussed the development of sports in Bihar and the facilities available to players. Additionally, he met with the Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority, Mr. Ravindran Shankaran, to understand the initiatives being taken to promote sports in the state.

Mahesh Bhupathi praised the efforts made by the Bihar government to promote sports. He stated, “It is truly exciting to see the growing awareness of sports and the emerging talent in Bihar. This state will produce many national and international-level athletes in the future.” He also emphasized the need for improved infrastructure, more coaches, and competitive tournaments to further popularize tennis in Bihar.
