Mumbai: Two pillion riders were injured after their two-wheeler was hit by a speeding on the Mumbai-Pune Highway, the incident of which has gone viral. The police have started probing the entire matter and caught the accused.

This accident was captured in the dashcam of another car. In the video a black sedan car can be seen driving recklessly, hitting a two-wheeler near the Tip-Top International Hotel, located in Wakad area of ​​Pune. The collision was so severe that the bike rider and the pillion fell several feet away.

An FIR has been filed in the case

Soon after the accident, the injured were seen sitting on the road divider. Several people also gathered around them to inquire about their condition. Both the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police have filed a case in the matter. While the car driver is yet to be nabbed, a team has been formed to nab the accused at the earliest. The police are also trying to check the details with the help of CCTV footage and other linkages.

A similar incident in the Palghar district

In a similar incident, another speeding car hit a pedestrian and dragged him for several meters in Palghar district of Maharashtra. The incident, which took place last week was noticed recently after the CCTV video went viral.

As per the police, the accident took place in Boisar MIDC in Palghar. The injured man, identified as Machindra Bagalwas walking on the footpath, when the car suddenly came and hit him He is currently undergoing treatment at Sanjeevani Hospital in Boisar. Soon after the incident, the driver of the car left the vehicle and fled from the spot. In October last year, a food delivery agent was killed after a car hit him in Mundhwa area of Pune city. The incident took place early on October 11.
