Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will participate in sectoral sessions and have one-to-one discussions with industrialists at the Regional Industries Conclave in Sagar on September 27. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will also virtually inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various new and proposed projects. These include the proposed land allotment for the regional office of Sagar, Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions, Bhoomi Pujan of the regional office of MPIDC in Sagar, inaugurationof District Investment Promotion Centre in Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur and Niwari districts and inauguration of MPIDC office in Coimbatore.

Sectoral SessionsMain focus of the conclave is cottage industry

The fourth Regional Industries Conclave of the state is being organised on Friday at Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy Ground in Sagar. Industrialists and investors from India and abroad will participate in the conclave. In the opening session, the country’s leading industrialists will put forward their views on investing in the state.

Sectoral Sessions

Various sectoral sessions will be organised in the conclave. These include petrochemical, plastic and related sectors (main focus – related to Bina Refinery, agriculture, food processing and dairy sector, MSME and startups, cottage industry (main focus – bidi industry), two round-table sessions on renewable energy, textile and technical sector, workshop related to One District-One Product (ODOP) and hackathon for IT based solutions to local problems.

Main focus of the conclave is cottage industry

The main focus of the conclave will be local cottage industry. A detailed action plan will be discussed in a separate session based on bidi industry. In ‘One District-One Product’, there will be a discussion on world class quality, marketing and processing of local products of all districts of Sagar division.

A video film will be screened on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh in the conclave. Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh will give a presentation on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh and Principal Secretary Mining and Mineral Resources Shri Sanjay Shukla will give a presentation on Investment Opportunities in Mining Sector. Principal Secretary Tourism Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla will give a presentation on Investment Opportunities in Tourism Sector and Secretary MSME Dr. Shri Navneet Mohan Kothari will give a presentation on MSME and Startups. Managing Director Handicrafts, Handloom Development Corporation and Madhya Pradesh Khadi Village Industries Board Shri Mohit Bundas will give a presentation on cottage and village industries in the conclave. Leading industrialists will share their experiences on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. There will be a round table meeting on investment in renewable energy sector and textile and technical sector.

Exhibitions and stalls of beneficiary-oriented schemes of various departments including “One District-One Product” will also be set up in the conclave. Cultural programmes showcasing the rich Bundelkhandi culture will be presented in the conclave. Local artists will deliver captivating performances of Bundelkhandi dance and singing. Guests will be welcomed in a traditional manner at the venue. Guests will be able to savour local dishes during the meal.
